Excellent and drinks were wonderful . My daughter thought it was great and come back soon.!

I don't get anything other than the steak tacos. Hands down best taco I've ever had. Service was great and food came out quickly. We like to sit outside on one of the patios. Inside is way too noisy.

I've driven by this establishment for years without realizing what it holds. I stopped by one day to pick up takeout and it was the beginning of a long time friendship between me and cocina madrigal. The food was delicious and fresh. Our order consisted of Al Pastor and Oaxaca Shrimp tacos, Crispy Salmon, and Chicken Enchiladas. Pricing was around average for a sit-down restaurant. The most expensive part of my order was the Salmon at about $25. The service was great- I was able to call in my order and picked it up at the time they said it would be ready. I appreciate not having to wait awkwardly in the restaurant while my food is being cooked. The ambiance felt homely. It was a no-frills restaurant and just about every patron seemed to be a local. There was not an empty seat to be found...especially for lunch on a weekday! The parking situation can be a little inconvenient as there's not many spots in the parking lot, however, there is street parking behind the restaurant. This is a place that I recommend to anyone visiting Arizona and/or someone wanting authentic tasting Mexican food.

With as high of a rating as Cocina Madrigal has, I knew I had to check them out. From the outside it doesn't look like much but it's the food and service that makes it all worth it. My friend and I came for lunch after a day of hiking and enjoyed the weather on the outdoor patio. It's easy to judge right off the bat by the chips & salsa and they passed the test. Just the right amount of spicy and flavor. For an entree I had one mushroom enchilada and one barbacoa. I actually ended up liking the mushroom the best. It was super flavorful & unique. The barbacoa was just alright. I'll definitely be back again if I'm ever in town. A great spot to grab lunch or dinner.

The taco's were the best we've had in a super long time! We live in Florida and we're visiting Phoenix. We decided to stop here for lunch. So glad we did! We got the Al Pastor taco marinated pork with roasted pineapple, pickled red onion, cilantro and Sonoran salsa, Oaxaca Shrimp taco mango coconut cabbage slaw and avocado cream taco and Beef Tenderloin Steak Toco pomegranate marinade, chipotle. We definitely recommend these and you won't be disappointed. For dessert we got the Churros Bavarian cream filled with creme anglaise and carmel sauce. This was the best Churros we've EVER had. If you are in Phoenix you must stop by. Service was very friendly. We sat outside and the weather was so nice.

Food: 5/5 Flavors were terrific and cooked perfectly. Came out hot and fresh too! The Oaxaca fundido were one of our favorites and a must try. The beef tenderloin taco was paired so well with the gorgonzola cheese too; I wouldn't mind coming back to try all their tacos actually Service: 4/5 The place was crazy packed at peak hours (we had reservation) and we sat without drinks for the first 10-15 minute. Aside from that the servers were attentive when they could be. Ambiance: 3/5 Very casual, hole in the wall place which I don't mind! Means the food tastes that much better, however it was so crowded I kept needing to scoot my chair into the table so the waiters/waitresses had enough space to get by. It was so loud I couldn't really hear the 4 other people I came with without shouting. We also had to park a block down which isn't a far walk, except we were approached by some random person for a ride, so be careful!

Ambiance. As we pulled into the lot from street, it completely reminded me of the movie from Bridesmaids where maid of honor Annie brings the bridesmaids and bride to an exotic, South American restaurant in the middle of nowhere and feels a little sketch. But the reviews were excellent and parking lot was full. Inside, the hosts took a minute to acknowledge. Glad we had reservations. It was busy. Seats about 50 inside; 80 outside? They accommodated our request to sit outside; we sat in front patio; basic, cafeteria like table and chairs. Nothing fancy. Loos were clean, stocked. Food. Wow... Fresh. Good portion. Authentic. Reviews were correct. Top 100 places list is correct. Pics say more. Service. Though host was on the slow, the service was tops. He was a pro. Accommodating, knowledgeable, super friendly, gracious about drinks delayed. WROTE down a list of recommendations for other places to check out in the city after inquiring. True foodie and industry veteran. He gave great details of his recommendations and where to get local tortilla press. Overall. A. We were so satisfied. Total diamond. Raving about it all on drive back to resort.

This place is still great! Excellent service and fabulous food. My favorites: Mushroom enchiladas Shrimp tacos Mango steak salad Guacamole Chips and salsa Everything else on the menu is also probably great, but I love these things so much I never branch out.

Excellent!! on my flight and I checked options. Cucina Madrigal pop to the top as one of Yelp top 100 in the United States so I decided to give it a shot. The food is excellent and well worth five stars. The guacamole was one of the best I've had in my entire life fully tasting of avocado with a slight slight heat and background onion. The chips were crispy and very fresh. I also enjoyed the mix and match beef and mushroom enchiladas. The mushroom enchilada definitely lived up to the hype. I am pretty far off the vegan or vegetarian scene and was hesitant to add the mix and match mushroom, but I was psyched that I did. It was off the hook. It definitely tasted of nice fresh mushrooms. The beef enchilada was also spectacular. It was accompanied by black beans and rice, which were perfect. I split an order of the street corn, which was also excellent.
